Campaign FAQ:
When will you ship?
We have all of the motherboard components in stock, along with a significant portion of the daughterboard components.
Supply chain issues are not going to slow us down.
However, we need to make absolutely certain that the rewards we are shipping are up to the standards we want to maintain. For the motherboard, a full qualification of the hardware is very close. For the daughterboards, more work is required before we can feel ready to put them into production, with the Lime board looking closer than the Granita. We also need to manufacture our testing and calibration rigs, plus create a validation standard for our assembly house to follow. We expect to be ready to mass-ship the motherboards around January, with the daughterboards to follow shortly after that.
Those are our conservative estimates, and the internal timelines are slightly tighter than this.

Where will you ship from? What about VAT?
The boards will be assembled, tested and shipped from from Italy, which is why we are collecting VAT for EU shipments. There is an option to add your VAT-ID to get VAT reverse-charged.
Why should RFNM be trusted?
A few positive points:
- We proved the hardware, and are showing it to others.
- We have very close relationships with the vendors we are working with, like NXP.
- We are bringing an absolutely innovative piece of tecnology to the market.
- Because we have done this before, before refunding everyone when we decided to give up (this time, failure isn't an option).
- Because we believe in this project to the point of stocking up on significant amounts of hardware before taking in a single penny.
Which daughterboard should I choose?
We recommend the Lime daughterboard. It is cheaper, and the RFIC is well proven as a solid and working design in the market.
The Granita RFIC has lower phase noise and a wider frequency range, but is currently showing some problems, which we hope will go away with better support from Actric Semi. For example, from our early Granita tests, we found a few minor harmonics
in the 1-3 GHz receive band, and the receive baseband filter is not working, probably because of buggy software. Also, while the Granita RFIC is advertised as covering the entire 600-7200 MHz spectrum, the SDK we have at the moment has only allowed us
to test the 1700-2700 and 3400-5000 MHz ranges.
What's the best daughterboard for amateur radio?
Honestly, none of them. We will have daughterboards dedicated to HAM and already have some interesting ideas on how to implement them, but neither Granita nor Lime are designed for low frequency.
I've changed my mind. Can I get a refund?
No. All campaign contributions are final and non-refundable. We cannot find ourselves in a position where our backers are asking for a
refund en-masse (for example, due to an unforeseen delay), so it's important to be clear about this.
What SDR software will be supported in the beginning?
Will I need to assemble the boards?
No, the boards will be delivered pre-assembled and pre-tested in a configuration that we consider optimal.
